It might be early September, but it looks like a cold front is sweeping through! Here's your "iced out" report for Week Two.

9. Eastern Michigan

At #9 we have the Eastern Michigan Eagles. We have to deduct points here because of the green helmet. This isn't a true ice out. Also, I understand why EMU leans so heavily into the gray color, it just doesn't look very good. Maybe I'm grading too harshly here because I hate their gray turf. Not a bad effort, but nothing that jumps out.

🧊 Rating: 2.5/5

8. Boston College

Boston College comes in at #8. Again, not a true ice out here with the gold helmet. These could not be more plain, but I appreciate the huge block numbers. Losing in Week One to Rutgers at home didn't look very good. These jerseys look slightly better.

🧊 Rating: 2.75/5

7. Boise State

Alright, now we're getting somewhere! This jersey would be near the top of the list if they would have fully committed to the ice. Sadly, the blue pants send them down the list. Sweet helmet.

🧊 Rating: 3/5

6. Mississippi State

Finally, a true ice out! But I'm really hating the presentation here. No mention of any winter weather in the tweet. No chilly elements to speak of in the graphic. Just a picture of a player, not even facing us! At least the player name doesn't say "STARK VEGAS." Stop trying to make that a thing, Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are going to look pretty good in what's sure to be an incredibly messed up game.

🧊 Rating: 3.25/5

5. Kentucky

Similar issues here to what we had with the Mississippi State uniform above. No ice in the tweet, no winter elements. At least we're getting some cool graphics and a better angle at the jersey. They need to give up on the checkerboards, though.

🧊 Rating: 3.5/5

MEEP MEEP! This is how you put out a proper uniform announcement. Bonus points for video and we love the use of snowflakes in the tweet. I don't love the numbers and there's not enough orange for my liking, but an A+ for presentation.

🧊 Rating: 3.5/5

3. Tennessee

Speaking of more orange. What a strong effort from my Vols. Here we have a Tennessee player in a blizzard at the top of what I can only assume is the Swiss Alps. The cold face emoji to kick off the tweet was a strong choice. We're keeping the Vols out of the top spot because of the black cleats. I don't want it to feel THAT much like 1998. We've made some fashion improvements since then.

🧊 Rating: 4/5

2. Louisville

We've penalized some other schools for not going hard enough on the ice in the tweet, so we have to knock Louisville for it as well. But, the make up for it with a great graphic. The frost on the "Game Day" is a nice touch. The American Flag within the Cardinal logo on the helmet is excellent. Other teams need to take note. This is what it really looks like to be iced out.

🧊 Rating: 4.5/5

1. Virginia

Well done, Cavs. Well done. We've got the song lyrics, we have the hashtag, we have the cold face emoji, was have the cool video. It's all here. The numbers are especially cool. If I had to be a stickler I would say the helmet stripe needs to be tweaked. Virginia gets our top spot this week.

🧊 Rating: 4.75/5
